The town of Liska, known as one of the most sacred places in the world, is filled with special moments where the deep prayers at the gravesite of Rebbe Hershele Lisker zt"l resonate powerfully.

In Liska, one of the holiest places on earth, special moments abound as the deep and blessing-laden prayers recited at the grave of the great tzadik, Rebbe Hershele Lisker zt"l, resonate with the faithful.

This prayer seeks healing for the ill, prosperity for the less fortunate, and peace and well-being for the people of Israel and all humankind. In the Jewish world, Liska is regarded as a special location, primarily due to the Liska Rebbe’s construction of a famous synagogue that stood as one of the largest in Europe at the time. The vibrant memory of the town and its tzadik resonates within Jewish communities, where many arrive to request blessings in the cherished Kivrei Tzadikim tradition.

Rebbe Hershele Lisker (רבי הערשעלע ליסקער), better known as Zvi Hirsh Friedmann (צבי הירש פרידמאן) and the celebrated author of Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה), was a significant Hasidic leader whose teachings remain influential among his followers today. The Rebbe studied under the famous Teitelbaum Moshe zt"l (משה טייטלבוים זצ״ל), also referred to as the Yismach Moshe (ישמח משה), from whom he learned valuable Torah knowledge and Hasidic wisdom. The enduring disciple relationship is vibrant in Hasidic communities, notably among Satmar adherents, who pay tribute to the memories of Teitelbaum and Rebbe Hershele Lisker.

Across the globe, Hasidic communities—whether in Borough Park, Williamsburg, or anywhere in Israel—revere the town of Liska and the merit of the Liska Rebbe. The Liska cemetery is an important site within the Kivrei Tzadikim tradition, where the merit of the tzadik imbues prayers with remarkable strength. The yahrzeit (יארצייט) of the Rebbe's passing draws thousands to this location each year, where they come to pray and ask for blessings for their families and communities.

The spiritual legacy of the Liska Rebbe, which he left us through works like Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה) and Hayoshor veHatov (הישר והטוב), continues to inspire and guide Jewish communities around the world. Liska, a sacred land rich in past miracles and blessings, continues to be a place where deep faith-filled prayers are answered, offering blessings to all who come to seek them.
